Corporate Culture based on Sharing

The Group has created an original communication concept for its 15,000 staff worldwide. GAIA combines an information base with job-specific sections that are essential to the sharing of initiatives and know-how:

GAIA, which takes its name from Greek mythology and evokes the creation of a world of constant travel, takes several different forms:

GAIA, the international Intranet, frees users all over the world from the limitations of distance and time zones.

GAIA magazine, issued twice a year in seven languages with a print-run of 12,000, provides news from the Group and its subsidiaries, and presents reports on specific topics; its inspirational examples serve to stimulate ideas.

GAIA workshops take place several times a year for managers from subsidiary companies. The programme consists of three days of total immersion in the international world of Lagardère Services, with theory, practical exercises, and team work.

Numerous international, inter-job and inter-subsidiary workshops are organised on a regular basis. These include business-related committees, brand-promotion committees, and training seminars in project management or press distribution techniques.

Lagardère Services can count on sending international executives to work abroad to transfer their specialist know-how to colleagues in countries which do not have the required expertise locally.
Press distribution techniques are thus transferred beyond national European or North-America borders.
